Fall in the Yard
Fall Farewells
The SwingOur granddaughter has loved this swing over the past two years, but now she is out-growing it. We will take it down soon for the winter, and it will probably not return to the maple tree branch next year. |
The DahliasThey have not met with a frost yet, but soon they will. This is our last year of planting dahlias.11" x 14" acrylic on gesso board |

Little Girls with Watering Cans
Is it a coincidence that my granddaughters are all learning to water plants - to take care of growing things?

Designing for my Granddaughters
I have been pretty caught up in being a grandma - I am Babi. I love creating outfits for my granddaughters! These are modern takes on traditional Czech Kroj (folk costume). I did research on the internet, created a Pinterest board: Czech Bohemian Kroj, then searched online for fabrics and lace. I have some authentic embroidered ribbons that I bought way back when Czechia was still the CSSR that I was able to use. The "vests" are actually embroidered stretch velour. The dresses are all one piece with only a little snap opening at the side of the front neckline. To see an image larger, click on it.

Tried on and they all fit. |
What a joy!
